American Burr Walnut is the darkest with good figuring; Myrtle is interesting and unusual - a mid wood tone; Bird's eye Maple is pale blonde with tiny circular markings; dark-stained Burr Ash is a deep-coloured faintly blueish wood, not dissimilar to the woods on later Jaguar XJR-6 cars; European Burr Walnut is heavily figured, paler than American and gorgeous!
